Our oudoor learning area project has been shortlisted for a public vote. The project is for the creation of an outdoor learning area to support small learning groups and a natural imaginative play area. The project will allow the children to use the natural play space all year round in all weathers through the provision of a welly store, a sheltered area, a natural adventure trail and loose parts play area.
The project will involve planting of trees to provide shelter, natural materials (such as willow) for the creation of the boundaries between the different areas and bug hotels all which will improve the biodiversity in the school grounds.
Andrea Kaye, Head of School, said: “We are so excited about the outdoor learning area project. It provides so many different learning and play opportunities for all the pupils.”
