Our Years 4, 5 & 6 joined with many others around the country to take a pause from our busy lives to remember those who lost their lives defending us, for those who serve in the forces and for those who live in places of conflict today.
After observing the 2 minute silence at the War Memorial in the village, Chestnut Group (Year 5 & 6) laid a poppy wreath, shared poems and a prayer that they had written. We are very proud of the way in which they all understood the importance of remembrance. The poems (which were also shared in assembly) and the prayer are here for you to read. We think you will agree they are very moving and heartfelt.
