This afternoon, our Year 6 pupils hosted the annual Harvest Tea for the older members of the community. It is an important event in our school calendar; one which is looked forward to by both pupils and guests. The Year 6s were responsible for sending out invitations, making and decorating the cakes, setting up the hall and creating menu cards. They then welcomed and entertained their guests for over an hour.
We’re incredibly proud of the hard work that was put into the project and we have received very positive feedback from our guests about the attentive service and how polite and friendly the hosts were throughout.
We’re also very thankful to the group of parents who helped behind the scenes making the sandwiches and refreshments plus washed up whilst the Year 6s were ‘front of house’.
