All the children, staff and parents had a lot of fun at this performance in February 2017.  The children’s singing was sensational.  Thank you so much Mr Young for your singing coaching and inspiration.

In january 2017 the local paper, Gazette and Herald, wrote a fantastic article covering the school’s recent GOOD OFSTED report.

In May 2015 the School Council organised the school’s own Race for Life.  It was a very successful event.

Our FOS organised a fantastic Scarecrow Trail in March 2015 with Acorns Pre-school.  The event was a great day out for the whole community and raised significant funds which have been used throughout the school on IT equipment and enhancing our outdoor learning area.

Empty Classroom Day was a national initiative to celebrate and encourage outdoor learning.  We took the opportunity to showcase the approach we take to learning all year round by taking part.

Friends of School held a Maintenance Day in June 2014 which was attended by a large proportion of the community and made a significant difference to the learning environments of the children.

Years 3 and 4 put on a World War II play to finish off their topic in March 2014.

In March 2014 the Scarecrow Trail organised by Friends of School and Acorns Pre-school raised record amounts of money and was lots of fun for the whole community.

Lower KS2 children took a trip to Beanhill Farm in February 2014 to experience life as an evacuee in WWII.

The school was fortunate enough to win Lottery Funding in March 2013 to acquire a PlayPod to improve the quality of play at lunchtimes.
